Founders stories
Louis is a male Ugandan youth with a bachelor’s degree in Civil and environmental engineering.
After completing studies he decided to pursue a career in the coffee industry undergoing training at the Africa Coffee Academy qualifying in Coffee Quality management and control and an additional course in Coffee entrepreneurship
Working in the coffee industry Louis realized the small holder farmers plight and was inspired to create a solution for better pay of farmers and bridge the gap between farmers and markets eventually creating a company focused on high quality and sustainability.
Working with small holder farmers in the coffee growing regions of Mt Elgon eastern Uganda the proceeds from the sale of coffee are used in better farmer enhancement through setting up and facilitating washing stations, proper drying equipment and agronomic farmer trainings.
Today Louis continues to promote ethical and sustainable practices in the coffee industry
Ayodele with B.ENG in Civil Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Akure. Nigeria and MSC Business with Entrepreneurship, Northumbria University London . Working together with his father an Agricultural Engineer and Director in the ministry of Agriculture and CEO Fas Jimmy Agro Allied in nigeria he gained a lot of experience in crop and animal production working with small and large-scale farmers from planting to post-harvesting supporting them with herbicides and fertilizers backed by the government. In addition to experience the procurement department of Ratcon construction company in Ibadan Nigeria. These experiences in understanding the end-to-end process of planting to post-harvesting and my research gave him a deep insight that small-scale farmers are the major food producers in most regions of the world, especially in Africa and they need huge support to be sustainable, productive, and profitable thereby reducing food insecurity a major public health challenge in Africa. With this in mind, a strategic partnership was set up to ensure sustainability from crop to plant in the coffee. sector. With that in mind Jofald Rayel was born to shine a light on the high quality of Ugandan coffee and form a bridge between the farmers and markets. With the insight of Ayodele Fasoro and Ssenyonjo Louis, the mantle was taken up and step by step more partnerships are formed focusing on quality and fair compensation
